Open State Festival to showcase world-class minds at Flinders

Flinders University is excited to be partnering with the 2017 Open State Festival and will feature prominently in an exciting program of innovation, ideas and enterprise, including the annual Flinders Investigator Lecture.

2017 Investigator Lecture

Kicking off on Thursday 28 October, award-winning entrepreneur, lifestyle consultant and policy advisor, Dr Tia Kansara, will present the University’s flagship 2017 Investigator Lecture.

Dr Kansara’s principles for contemporary living have a deep resonance with research being undertaken in industrial transformation and diversification at Flinders University.

For the first time, Flinders’ Investigator Lecture audience will be encouraged to engage and participate throughout the talk, via live event polling.

Dr Kansara will incorporate these audience insights into her lecture, providing a genuine local perspective on current issues.

She has prepared a short video on Facebook in advance of her lecture.

Staff and students can register for the 2017 Investigator Lecture at http://events.flinders.edu.au/show/event/2017-investigator-lecture.

More information about Dr Kansara’s lecture and other Open State events that Flinders is supporting can be found in the Flinders news blog, Grass is greener in a Replenish Economy.

Those who cannot attend the Investigator Lecture are encouraged to watch a recording of Dr Kansara’s presentation on the Flinders University website.

The lecture will also be able to be viewed live via the Flinders University Facebook page or via My Science Academy, Ideapod, and Replenish Earth.
