Health seed grants open for Flinders researchers

The 2018/19 round of Flinders Foundation Health Seed Grants is now open to researchers across the Flinders medical precinct, with up to $25,000 available for each individual research project that wins funding.

With an aim to get research projects off the ground, bust myths or confirm hypotheses, the funding can enable researchers to produce the preliminary data that is needed to win larger national and international grants.

The impact of the Foundation’s seed grants are backed up by historical data that confirms around 40 per cent of recipients go on to win large-scale grants, many of which have enabled life-changing discoveries and advances to be made at Flinders.

The grants are made possible through the support of partners and donors, together with events including the Pink Yellow Blue Ball, the Lightsview Ride Like Crazy and Cycle Cambodia to Cure Cancer.

Applications must be lodged by 5pm on 20 June 2018, by emailing the Flinders University Research Development and Support Office at research.grants@flinders.edu.au.

Guidelines and application forms can be downloaded from the Flinders Foundation website.
