Training brings the big reds to Bedford

Emergency incident training will take place at Flinders University this Friday 13 July from 9am – 1pm in the Physical Sciences building and store.

During this time the Metropolitan Fire Service (MFS) will be on-site with Flinders University staff, using car park 9 as a central staging area and to accommodate the MFS appliances.

Staff need not be alarmed by activities in this area during the training exercise, which are important drills to enhance the University’s emergency management preparedness. However, if any unusual activity outside the scope of the training activity is observed on the day, or if staff have any concerns, Security should be contacted on 8201 2880 in the first instance.

This hands-on training is important to test emergency management preparedness and builds on the learnings from a collaborative desktop exercise held in June.

Staff understanding is appreciated while this important emergency management training occurs. Any queries about this exercise may be directed to whs@flinders.edu.au
