Open day at the Art Museum

Visit the Flinders University Art Museum (FUAM) to see highlights of the University’s Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander art collection, in a new exhibition titled ‘Tradition and Transformation in Contemporary Aboriginal Art’.

The exhibition features works by some of Australia’s most celebrated Indigenous artists from the East Kimberley, Western Desert and Central Arnhem Land regions in a rich illustration of the dynamic development of visual arts in remote Aboriginal communities over the late 20th century.

Curators will be on hand to answer questions about the show and provide information about Flinders’ art collections broadly.

Where: Flinders University Art Museum, Room 007 Social Sciences North (off Carpark 5, Bedford Park)
When: Friday 10 August, 10:30am – 2:30pm
