Antique strings for Lunchtime Concert

The delicate sounds of an 1820s Guadagnini guitar will resonate in the Bedford Park library this Wednesday, with the Flinders community treated to a Lunchtime Concert by multiple award-winning guitarist Alex Tsiboulski.

A former student of Timothy Kain in Canberra and Adam Holzman in Austin, Mr Tsiboulski has performed around the world both as a soloist and chamber musician. He has won twelve international competitions including the 2000 Australian Guitar Competition and the 2006 Tokyo International Guitar Competition.

Mr Tsiboulski has released two successful albums, including his 2010 Naxos release, Australian Guitar Music, which was nominated for a ‘Best Classical Album’ ARIA and a second album featuring the guitar sonatas of Mexican composer Manuel María Ponce.

Please note: this concert replaces the previously scheduled event for this week featuring Simone Slattery and Michael Ierace, with a performer unexpectedly called interstate.
