Flinders to host national translation conference

Practitioners and scholars from around the nation will descend on Flinders University over 16 and 17 November to explore important issues in translation and interpretation, at the AUSIT 2018 National Conference.

Flinders staff including Tets Kimura and Dr Luciana d’Arcangeli will chair several sessions, and the Hon Jing Lee (Assistant Minister to Premier of South Australia Steven Marshall), will deliver the event’s Jill Blewett Memorial Lecture on Saturday, 17 November.

The conference provides a forum to exchange information and foster professional relationships through topics of interest to translators and interpreters, agencies and language service users, government departments, tertiary institutions and a variety of other stakeholders. The annual event will close with the Australian Institute of Interpreters and Translators’ AGM.
