Flinders welcomes new library chief

Mr Prashant Pandey has commenced in his role as Director of Library Services at Flinders, and is looking forward to leading innovations that will enhance the library’s vital role as the hub of learning and teaching.

Most recently Associate Director, Resources and Technology and Copyright Officer at Charles Darwin University (CDU), Mr Pandey brings substantial leadership experience from across libraries and research institutions. Before his role at CDU, he was responsible for digital and online engagement strategies at the State Library of Queensland, as Executive Director Content Development.

Mr Pandey has also served as Director Digital Library and Innovation at Deakin University, where he provided leadership delivering the university’s digital library of the future.

Commencing his library career at the University of South Australia, he is pleased to be back in Adelaide in a role that is critical for the Flinders community.

Mr Pandey’s vision is to enable new types of innovation and creativity in the library that will make a real difference for both students and staff. He views the library as central to the whole academic experience and is looking forward to building effective partnerships to advance its services, and contributing to strategic developments that focus on supporting students’ active learning.
