Updated fitness timetable

Flinders Sport and Fitness has updated its group fitness timetable. Designed to fit around most schedules, it offers an enormous variety of options including 30 minute classes.

With a full range of Les Mills and freestyle classes covering yoga, spin, pilates, boxing, kettle bell, fit forever and fit HIIT, participants can expect to burn anywhere from 350 to 700 calories per class while developing strength, cardiovascular fitness, flexibility and more.

Qualified instructors and a fully sprung purpose-built group fitness floor ensure the mind and body are looked after in a caring and welcoming environment.

Classes

CXWorx is based on cutting-edge scientific research and is the ultimate way to get a tight and toned core. With dynamic training that hones in on abs, glutes, back, obliques, and “slings” connecting the upper and lower body. Short, sharp and shiny, this 30 minute class is brand new.

BODYBALANCE is the Yoga, Tai Chi, Pilates workout that builds flexibility and strength and leaves participants feeling centred and calm. Controlled breathing, concentration and a carefully structured series of stretches, moves and poses create a holistic workout that brings the body into a state of harmony and balance.

BODYPUMP is the original barbell class that strengthens the entire body. This 60-minute workout challenges all the major muscle groups by using the best weight-room exercises like squats, presses, lifts and curls. Great music, awesome instructors and a choice of weights inspire for fast results.

RPM is the indoor cycling workout where riders workout to the rhythm of powerful music. Take on the terrain with an inspiring coach who leads the pack through hills, flats, mountain peaks, time trials, and interval training. Discover the athlete within.

BODYATTACK is the sports-inspired cardio workout for building strength and stamina. This high-energy interval training class combines athletic aerobic movements with strength and stabilisation exercises. Dynamic instructors and powerful music motivate everyone towards their fitness goals – from the weekend athlete to the hard-core competitor.

YOGA Concentrates on strengthening and toning deep muscles to improve posture, alignment and flexibility. Beginners are welcome.

PILATES  is a toning class with focus on muscle strength and flexibility. A floor style class utilising breathing techniques and exercises specific to core strength and stability. Gain flexibility and firmness by moving muscles through their full range of motion. Great for posture.

STEP is a fantastic workout that gets participants moving in all directions. Using a height-adjustable step, instructors have the team moving in a class that hits that much needed cardio workout, yet still finds the time to shape and tone the body.

PUNCH PAD combines boxing moves and pad work to provide a complete exercise program. Tone and improve strength while developing cardio fitness and speed. Always great to help de-stress.

FIT 4 EVER (over 40’S) – Circuit style training that gets participants moving by incorporating both cardio and strength exercises. Build strength and get fit (held in the ladies only gym area.)

BARRE is a fusion of pilates, yoga and ballet moves to sculpt and tone lean muscles.

HIIT – get on board with the High Intensity Interval Training (HIIT) that sees maximum results from a workout. Held in the cardio area in the new HIIT zone.

WOMEN & WEIGHTS – A female instructor in the Ladies Only Gym to teach the basics, or advance weights workout to progress to the next level of training.
