Bridging a better understanding with Indonesia

Flinders is sponsoring Indofest 2019 with support from the Indonesian staff within the College of Humanities, Arts and Social Sciences.

Indofest Adelaide is one of the state’s outstanding multicultural events and is widely regarded as one of the most successful Indonesian cultural festivals in the southern hemisphere.

Flinders will be represented at the iconic festival on Sunday April 28 at Victoria Square, by Dean (Education) Associate Professor Eric Bouvet, Dr Rossyln von Der Borch and Dr Priyambudi Sulistiyanto – along with Flinders’ Director of International Engagement, Matt Taverner and a group of Flinders’ Indonesian students.

The University takes part in this celebration through Flinders Jembatan – a Flinders University 50th Anniversary initiative that brings Australian and Indonesian communities together through community and cultural events and educational programs, to strengthen people-to-people links that encourage rich cross-cultural exchange and understanding.
