APEX is running two events to improve networking and communication confidence in specific professional environments, providing insights and practical skills followed by an opportunity to practice new learnings in an informal setting.
Both community-of-practice style sessions will be held at Alere and feature a guest speaker. Refreshments will be provided, with drinks available to purchase from the bar.
1. Learning the Art of Networking: A Critical Skill for Career Success
This event is designed specifically for people who are new to networking or uncomfortable in networking situations and want to practice in a safe, fun internal environment. Staff who are not sure on how or why to network, or those who understand the benefits but need practical tips to improve their confidence, are encouraged to attend.

2. Networking at Conferences
This event is designed for people who attend conferences for work, and is scheduled just days ahead of this year’s Association for Tertiary Education Management (ATEM) conference. Attendance is encouraged from those who want to take their networking skills to the next level in preparation for a conference or other external environment.
