Celebrating student volunteering

Flinders University will get involved in National Student Volunteer Week (NSVW) next week with activities and a student award. The initiative is all about promoting and celebrating student volunteering led by education providers, volunteer organisations and students across Australia.

For the third year running, Careers & Employability at Flinders will offer a range of activities for students throughout the week of 10-16 August which include:

  • an online expo and other online resources
  • live sessions (online and on campus)
  • volunteer job search board
  • student association engagement

Additionally there will be a NSVW People’s Choice Award, where students are asked to nominate by submitting their volunteering stories and experiences. The Flinders student and staff community will then vote for the submission they find the most inspiring. Finalists and voting will be announced during the week; staff can register to participate or view event information on CareerHub.
