A lunchtime event for staff will delve into the career pathways of Flinders University’s Directors, College Services (DoCS) – diverse leadership roles occupied by staff as varied as their position descriptions.

While the DoCS role has its foundations in operations, it also involves people management, process improvement, strategy, stakeholder engagement, negotiation and a bit of firefighting on the side. There is no one career pathway to prepare for such a role and our office bearers hail from a variety of backgrounds.

This panel session, presented by the APEX staff network, will delve into the career pathway of Flinders University’s five DoCS to understand how their professional journey has led them to this role, what drives them and any advice for those aspiring to follow in their shoes.
