Have your say on new train timetable

Flinders University staff and students together with potential commuters at the Flinders Medical Centre are invited to provide feedback to the new Flinders Link train timetable.

Timetables for the soon to be extended Tonsley Line were released to the public last week for consultation.

Transport Minister Corey Wingard says the government is particularly interested in the requirements of shift workers and students with irregular commuting needs.

The new schedule will increase services on the Tonsley line by another 10 in each direction on weekdays (20 additional trips in total per day) and 34 extra trips in each direction on weekends. This will enable a 20-minute frequency during peak weekday times and 30 minutes at other times, with the earliest services arriving at the Flinders Train Station by 7am, 7 days a week.

The Flinders Link Project incorporates the extension to the Tonsley line, the new Flinders Train Station, and a pedestrian/cycle path to the station from the corner of Sturt Road and Birch Crescent. It is scheduled for completion before Christmas this year.

View the timetable and contribute your feedback via email to: dit.communityrelations@sa.gov.au before 5pm, Friday 30 October.
