Service One new mobile app and services

Finance and Procurement services will release four new finance services in Service One this afternoon, Tuesday 24 November.

New services

The new finance services include:

• Request a customer invoice (caters to all types of customer invoices, including research-related)
• Cancel an invoice
• Create or modify an online payment page
• Revenue query (for all questions relating to invoices or payment status)

These services are designed to make it easier for customers to get to exactly what they need, and will replace these current services:

• A research project invoice request
• Incoming payment

There will also be a new ‘Finance’ subcategory in the Service One portal, under the ‘General’ category on the homepage, which serves as a one-stop-shop for all finance needs.

Mobile app

The ‘Now Mobile’ app will also be available for staff and students to download from 24 November, allowing service requests to be submitted and tracked on the go.

The app will look visually similar to the desktop computer view people are used to, with the ability to search or navigate using categories as usual.

Knowledge articles for information on services and general approval tasks can be accessed on the app (such as for building access or finance requests), however knowledge articles and technical change approvals need to be managed through the desktop.

Download the app for free from the Apple or Android app store by searching for ‘Now mobile’. When prompted to enter an ‘instance’, type and then ‘Service One’ as the nickname.
