A challenge to get your blood pumping

The Tertiary Blood Challenge returns for 2021 – and all you have to do to be involved and make a positive contribution is to give blood or plasma before 31 May.

Flinders University took out the South Australian title in 2020 – and we’re keen to do it again in 2021, because Australians still need your blood and plasma donations – to help them get through cancer treatment or a difficult pregnancy, or to address medical conditions which require regular blood products to stay healthy.

Every time you give blood, you can save three lives – so to help boost the number of blood donors, the challenge involves teams from tertiary organisations all over Australia competing to give the most blood and plasma donations.

There’s more than one title up for grabs in this big national challenge – with recognition for the most lives saved, most new donors in a tertiary organisation, the most plasma donations,  highest frequency, and the highest year-on-year growth by competing tertiary teams.

This isn’t a solo event. It requires a team to win, so recruit some teammates by using these downloadable assets to help Flinders get across the finish line as the winning contributor to this vital challenge.

Everything you need to join the challenge and book a donation can be found on the challenge webpage. You can also check in on the front runners throughout the challenge to keep seeing how Flinders measures up.
