Health is your greatest asset – so care for it

Do you know the current state of your health? To help you understand the shape you’re in, FlindersOne Sport and Fitness is offering FREE health testing between 9-11 March.

The checks use bio-impedance scales to measure muscle mass, BMI, hydration, body composition, sit and reach capability and grip strength.

Bookings for the free checks – which take between 15 and 30 minutes – can be made at FlindersOne Sport and Fitness reception or by phoning extension 12842.

This represents only one of many great offers through FlindersOne Sport and Fitness – because free Boot Camp is back, being held in the Alan Mitchell Sports Centre between 7am and 8am on Tuesdays and Thursdays. Meet at FlindersOne Sport and Fitness reception at 6.55am with a towel and drink bottle, and get a great workout done before working day begins. Showers, change facilities and hairdryers are available for you to use afterwards.

There is also a free running group. If you want to run better, faster or more efficiently but have no idea where or how to begin, meet Chris Rawling at the pavilion on Flinders University’s top oval for a session from 6am to 7.15am on Wednesdays. As a former professional athlete, Chris represented Australia in Olympic triathlon and has worked in the fitness industry for eight years helping people to reach their health and physical fitness goals. This free running session is ideal for anyone wishing to run 5km, 10km or 21km – and complete beginners are welcome.
