Bravely examining the Biden administration

The next in Flinders University’s continuing series of BRAVE lectures will be examining the first 100 days of the Biden Administration, which have seen substantial changes in US policies and politics, from the crisis in the Capitol to the challenges of COVID-19, climate change and immigration.

The event – Brave: The first 100 Days of the Biden Administration – is being held at Room 1, Level 1, Flinders University Victoria Square, Adelaide, from 8.30am to 10am on Wednesday 5 May.

Commencing with a keynote address livestreamed from San Francisco by Jeff Bleich, US Ambassador to Australia 2009-2013, this special free public lecture will include an expert panel in discussion with Jeff Bleich, featuring Flinders University political science experts Professor Don DeBats, Dr Prudence Flowers and Associate Professor Rodrigo Praino.

Delivered in partnership with the American Chamber of Commerce, the event will conclude with a speech by The Hon Kim Beazley AC, Governor of Western Australia and former Ambassador to the United States of America 2010-2016, which will be livestreamed from Perth.

This is an event that will shine a light on one of the most important eras in modern politics, so don’t miss your chance to find out how President Joe Biden’s first 100 days in office are already having impact on Australia and across the world.

Due to COVID-19 restrictions, registration is essential and tickets are limited to attend in person. Tickets can be booked via Eventbrite. Please Note: This event will NOT be livestreamed for online viewing.
