You are invited to celebrate LGBT STEMM Day within this year’s Feast Festival. QueersInScience SA and the South Australian Health and Medical Research Institute (SAHMRI) are delighted to be partnering in events for LGBT STEMM Day on Thursday 18 November 2021.

This year, a free Queers in STEMM showcase will celebrate South Australia’s brightest LGBTQIA+ professionals who are working and studying in Science, Technology, Engineering, Medicine and Mathematics.

South Australia’s Chief Scientist Professor Caroline McMillen will provide a welcoming address, which will be followed by a panel discussion featuring LGBTQIA+ leaders in STEMM examining how we can continue to break down barriers to LGBTQIA+ inclusion in STEMM.

If you are a member of the LGBTQIA+ community working or studying in STEMM, we’d like to celebrate you and your work by presenting a short ‘Snapshot of my Science’ at the event. If you’d like to be involved click here for more information.
