Call to celebrate inspiring young women

To ensure that young female change makers receive the credit they deserve for bringing positive change to those around them, encourage them to apply for The Australian Women’s Weekly 2022 Women of the Future Awards.

Now in its ninth year, the Women of the Future Awards recognise and celebrate Australia’s incredible young female game-changers who are aged 18-to-34.

Since the inception of these awards, the Australian Women’s Weekly has contributed more than $1 million in cash, prizes and mentoring for the winners.

This year’s major prize is valued at $100,000, including a $40,000 term deposit from La Trobe Financial and full-page advertisements in The Australian Women’s Weekly and Marie Claire magazines, and the opportunity to connect with an inspirational line up of judges and mentors.

Six finalists will be chosen to fly to Sydney and attend the Women of the Future Lunch on October 5, hosted by Australian Women’s Weekly editor-in-chief Nicole Byers, where the competition winner will be awarded.

Previous winners have included tech entrepreneur Marita Cheng for her telepresence robot, young inventor Macinley Butson for her breast radiation shield, Anna Robertson for her socially responsible fashion label YEVU and experienced wildlife and conservation research manager Camille Goldstone-Henry.

If you know an amazing young woman who is a trailblazer, an innovator or significant change-maker, please encourage her to place her award application online at www.nowtolove.com.au/womenofthefuture2022. Entries close on Friday 22 July.
