UK-based Baroque musician Jane Downer, musical director of Austal Harmony and a specialist on the historic oboe, is playing in the Recitals at Flinders series on Monday 17 October at 2.30pm.

Downer will be joined by Melbourne-based harpsichordist David MacFarlane to present Galante et Magnifique, a beautiful French Baroque program played on period instruments (including Flinders’ own spectacular harpsichord).

Music for the performance includes works by François Couperin and other French Baroque composers.

This special performance is part of a Grand Musical Circuit of concerts throughout Australia.
