Improving our teaching by moving to Canvas

To improve the overall teaching and learning experience, Flinders University is changing from its current Learning Management System (LMS) to Canvas.

Canvas is a user-centric platform, aimed at simplifying learning and teaching, and offers 24/7 support to all users. It can be accessed via an app, so teaching and learning can occur on any device, in any place. Teaching is also available via Teams thanks to Microsoft integration, which will enable teaching staff to engage with students in new and exciting ways.

A staged rollout of Canvas will begin in January 2023, with plenty of support available to help people make the transition throughout the year.

For more information, visit the project web page https://staff.flinders.edu.au/canvas, send an email to the project team at canvas@flinders.edu.au or visit the Canvas website.

The move was recently announced in a video from Deputy Vice-Chancellor (Students) Professor Romy Lawson, which you can view below.
