This week the Canvas team provides an answer to: Why can’t students see their grades?
In FLO, there are a series of checkboxes in the quiz’s settings that control when students can see grades, correct answers, and feedback. In Canvas, the quiz settings are used to control when students see their response and the correct answers, but the process for posting quiz grades is the same process as posting assignment grades.
- All quizzes/assignments have a posting policy, where grades can be posted as soon as they are recorded or posted manually.
- When the quiz/assignment has a manual posting policy, all grades can be posted at once, or grades for specific students can be posted as appropriate.
Note: There is also a course-wide posting policy that can be used to automatically post every grade in every assessment, as soon as they are entered into Canvas. Enabling this will prevent grade moderation and will also post the Fail or Holding Grades, so should not be enabled.
