Tune in for the final 3MT contest

The final for this year’s 3MT competition will be held on Friday 8 September – and you can witness who is best at presenting their thesis in under 3 minutes, and will represent Flinders at the Asia-Pacific finals in October.

This year’s finalists at Flinders are:

  • Vinícius Guedes Gonçalves de Oliveira (CBGL): “I repeat, this is not science fiction! Assessing Australia’s space infrastructure security.”
  • Priyadharshany Sandana Pitchai (CEPSW): “Breaking Barriers: Providing Accessible and Affordable Trauma Therapy.”
  • Iriana Freitas De Jesus Ximenes (CHASS): “Economic Reintegration of Return Migrants- A Case of Temporary Labour Migration Programmes for Timor-Leste”
  • Maddison Dix (CMPH): “Talking sh#t: Listening to the needs of young people with bowel cancer”
  • Ying Yu (CNHS): “I have dementia, can I stay at home as long as possible”
  • Cassandra Haines (CNHS): “Vision for the future; brightening lives through vision screening”

Students and staff, and members of the public are encouraged to join the final presentation in person at the Health Science Lecture Theatre Complex (HSLTC 1.01) from 2.25pm on 8 September, or join online using the link here.

In addition to supporting our finalists, you can also cast a vote for your favourite presentation for the People’s Choice Award.
