Promoting Respect.Now.Always

The Respect.Now.Always (R.N.A) working group from the College of Nursing and Health Sciences held its second event in the Sturt Courtyard on 30 August to raise awareness about sexual assault and harassment, healthy sex culture, consent, bystander actions, and respectful relationships.

Holly Fazulla and Jessica Tubman (Shine SA).

Organised by Dr Rowaida Sleem and Kiara Roscio as co-leaders, together with their group members Dr Mallika Prem Senthil, Paige Lynch, and Dr Hila Dafny, the working group engaged with students through the help of FUSA, Be A Better Human, Student Equal Opportunity, OASIS, Flinders Health, Counselling and Disability, Pride Network and SHINE SA.

The event also promoted Flinders University’s new consent and respectful relationships training module, which can now be completed by all staff and students by clicking onto Canvas.

This new training module is one of the practical steps and commitments Flinders University is taking to ensure that safety, respect and responsibility are foundations of our University culture.
