Abstract submissions now open

Healthy Development Adelaide (HDA) is asking for submissions to be presented at the HDA Research Afternoon, on Wednesday 16 October.

Submissions are open to current HDA members who are PhD students, EMCR researchers (0-10 years post PhD) or industry/government/NGO workers undertaking basic or clinical, biomedical or social science research in developmental health, disability, resilience or disease in pregnancy, infancy, childhood or adolescence.

The HDA Research Afternoon includes two sessions for short oral presentations, followed by the 20th Annual Oration in the evening.

Selection process:

Applicants will submit two pieces (both written in the one doc/pdf file – Font Arial, size 11):

  • A 250-word abstract (formatted as per the example on the website link)
  • A one-page track record of the applicant’s research/policy/practice achievements. PhD applicants must include evidence of their PhD commencement and EMCR applicants must include evidence of their PhD award date to enable eligibility to be assessed.

Applications close at 5pm Wednesday 31 July, and applicants will be notified by the end of August. Late applications will not be considered. Abstracts will be selected by the HDA executive committee.

If you have any questions or wish to submit an application, please contact Anna Jurisevic.
