The results of the recent Your Voice staff survey were released to Senior Executive on Friday 23 August 2024. Thank you to everyone who participated and shared their valuable insights. Your feedback is valuable in highlighting our strengths and identifying areas for improvement at Flinders University.

This year, we saw an increased participation rate of 56% (excluding casuals) and 34% (including casuals), marking an increase of over 400 responses compared to our 2022 survey. The survey results highlighted a number of positive changes, with 82 out of the 108 questions demonstrating improvement overall.

Of the 100 benchmarked questions, Flinders outperformed the Australian and New Zealand (ANZ) Higher Education benchmarks on 68% of questions, and the Innovative Research University (IRU) benchmarks on 79% of questions.

Key outcomes of the survey include improvements in the outcomes of Engagement, Wellbeing, and Progress. In particular, the outcome of Progress, which encompasses the categories of change, student satisfaction, external user satisfaction and organisational objectives, demonstrated a significant 6% increase.

Flinders continued to demonstrate high performance in categories such as Gender Equality (89% favourable), Teamwork (86% favourable), and Role Clarity (85% favourable). To view the Flinders high level results, click here.

Colleges and Portfolios will now commence development of action plans to continue to build strength in areas they are doing well, and to address some of the key areas for improvement.
