Recognising our top researchers

It’s official – Flinders University researchers are amongst the best in the world! That’s according to the World’s Top 2% Scientists list, collated by Stanford Elsevier and based on citations from the previous 12 months and across a researchers career. With over 100 Flinders researchers listed amongst the top 2%, the recognition showcases the university’s incredible breadth of research endeavours.

In honour of this prestigious recognition, Deputy Vice-Chancellor (Research) Professor Raymond Chan held a morning tea for researchers named on the list to acknowledge their achievement, and to say thanks for their fearless contributions to Flinders.

“The importance of research to the university can never be overstated. But today is about you – your work, your dedication, and your efforts to be recognised as the best in the world – not just in Australia, but the world… and that makes us proud,” said Professor Chan.

“It’s an incredibly prestigious list to be named on, a career highlight – and well-deserved recognition of your individual and collective contributions to our society.”

Congratulations to everyone named on the World’s Top 2% Scientists list and thank you to those that joined the morning tea – what a remarkable acknowledgement of your work, which is helping to change lives and change the world.
