Our teams are busy with ongoing level 2 Student Hub flooring renewal, Humanities Road works, car park 4 works, accessible toilet door works and carpet cleaning

 

Level 2 Student Hub flooring works ongoing

Stage 1 flooring replacement work is ongoing on level 2 of the Hub. Please do not move barriers and enter the construction site. Reminder there is:

• No access via the northern stairs and lift between level 1 and level 2, however the southern lift and stairs remain open.

• No level 2 access between the Central Library and the Student Hub, however access on level 1 remains open.

Wildernest and Alere Function Rooms remain open and accessible via the southern lift and stairs. This stage continues until Friday 19 December. Check the retailers’ summer opening dates and times online. Another three stages will follow, with level 2 being completed and level 1 underway in January and ongoing until Friday 6 February.   

Please follow directions and diversions as marked on signs – noting the access will change as work progresses to subsequent stages.

 

Humanities Road works

On Wednesday 10 December, the loading zone on Humanities Road (adjacent car park 5) will be unavailable for deliveries. Alternate zones are available adjacent the Registry Building and in car park 6. In addition, the northern end of Humanities Road remains closed for Laneway/intersection works until Friday 19 December.

 

Reminder – car park 4 works

Underway now and continuing to approximately Thursday 18 December, fallen branches and dry matter is being removed from around car park 4 on Humanities Road. Access to parking bays will be maintained. This will help reduce the bushfire risk this summer. Please observe reduced speeds as marked on signage and stay out of work zones.

 

Carpet cleaning – mid to late December

Carpet cleaning of select carpets is ongoing from 6am to 12noon in corridors, hallways, open plan offices and meeting rooms in the following North Ridge Bedford Park buildings:

To allow spaces to dry, please avoid walking on carpets for 24 hours wherever possible (spaces which are bookable have been/will be booked to allow for this).

 

Round 2 of accessible toilet door works

Works to widen accessible toilet doorways and install new doors are ongoing in these buildings until Monday 15 December. Please continue to use the alternate toilets as outlined below and follow directions on the signage.
