A free online panel discussion about how to mentor queer young people working in science is the next event for Queers In Science South Australia, on Thursday 27 May.

The “Leading with PRIDE” event will feature the QueersInScience SA committee leading a talk about mentoring and how to be a positive role model and mentor for LGBTQIA+ young people working and studying in STEMM.

The discussion will feature a panel of six mentors and mentees to answer our questions about building, navigating and sustaining mentoring relationships.

Participants in the online forum will also get to hear from our panel members about the benefits of mentoring, the life changing impact it can have on mentees, and pathways to finding yourself a mentor or mentee in the queer community.
