Students can drop into the Writing Centre and have individual access to an academic adviser for a maximum of 15 minutes. Students can ask questions and obtain feedback about their academic writing. Qualified staff are able to advise students on a range of generic writing skills such as:
writing style and language choice;
use of quotes and referencing;
paraphrasing and summarising;
essay structure and argument development.
The Writing Centre staff are available at the following times:
Level 1, Central Library:
Monday – Thursday, 10.00am – 4.00pm; 6,00pm – 8.00pm.
Fridays 10.00am – 12.00 noon
Sturt Campus Library:
Tuesday, 1.00pm – 3.00pm (for numeracy support);
Thursday and Friday, 1.00pm-3.00pm (for literacy support)
