Lighting Upgrade in the Medical Library

This event has taken place

green-lightbulb21A major light upgrade is in progress in the Medical Library as part of a larger project at Flinders Medical Centre. Existing fluorescent lights are being removed and replaced with new high efficiency lamps and reflectors which will reduce the energy consumption of each light by almost 60%. Lights will also automatically dim when exposed to strong sunlight.

This work will involve the use of a scissor lifter (which beeps every time it reverses) and the temporary closure of some library aisles from Monday 18th to Wednesday 27th of April. We apologise for any disruption this may cause. Students should not be discouraged from using the library. There are a number of silent study rooms available for use, where disturbance is greatly minimised.
