RABINDRANATH TAGORE: MULTIFACETED GENIUS
May 2011 marks the 150th anniversary of the birth of Rabindranath Tagore, poet, novelist, playwright, artist and musician.
Flinders University Library presents a program celebrating the life and work of this remarkable man, the first non-European to win the Nobel Prize for Literature.

The afternoon will begin with a screening of Satyajit Ray’s 1961 documentary on Tagore (from 2.30 to 3.30), and will continue with a series of short talks, readings and songs. Light refreshments will be served.
