Medical Library to close temporarily in December

The Medical Library will close at 9pm on Friday 29 November 2019 and reopen at 9am on Monday 6 January 2020. This temporary closure is to expedite the completion of the ceiling repairs by SA Health, following the fall of ceiling tiles last February. During this time, there will also be a delivery of 150 new task chairs and the installation of additional wifi access points.

Library staff at Central and Sturt Libraries will respond to enquiries directed to Document Delivery, SendIt, Service One, the FLO Help and Information Desks. This service provision will extend up to December 24 (1.00pm University closure) resuming in the New Year from Thursday 2 January 2020.

To further minimise impact of the Medical Library’s temporary closure the Library will:
• transfer the Medical Library’s high demand print collection to Central Library;
• organise for altenate access to the FoodWorks database (to assist Masters of Nutrition students); and,
• ensure that everyone is able to request physical items from the Medical Library’s main print collection for pickup at either Central or Sturt Libraries.

Please return books to the Medical Library before 30 November. Alternatively during December, you may return books to Central Library (24/7 chute), to Sturt Library, or to the reception desk for the College of Medicine and Public Health.

The Library apologises for any inconvenience.
