Drop-in sessions for help with searching

Flinders Library are now offering regular drop-in sessions at each library branch and online. The Assignment searching drop-ins are ideal for undergraduate and postgraduate students seeking help with searching for high quality references required for use in assignments. Library staff will be on hand to help identify search terms and can recommend and demonstrate use of specialised databases for more advanced searching.

Researchers and HDRs can attend a Systematic searching drop-in to get help from a librarian in planning and executing more complex systematic searches. These drop-ins accompany the Systematic literature searching FLO course (FAN login required) which guides people through the process of undertaking systematic, scoping, and narrative reviews.

No bookings are necessary, enabling flexible access to customised support without the need for an appointment. The drop-in sessions are staggered across different times and days of the week (see Workshops timetable) to accommodate various schedules. Students requiring assistance outside of these timeslots are still welcome to Ask a Librarian online.
