New database: Access Global Newsbank

We’re excited to announce that the Library has added Access Global Newsbank to its collection of online resources!

This new database provides Flinders students and staff with full-text access to a wide range of news content from local, state, national and international publications. It’s a fantastic tool for research, assignments or simply staying up to date with the news.

What is NewsBank?

NewsBank is one of Australia’s largest news collections, featuring content from over 800 sources across the country. From major headlines to community updates and regional stories, NewsBank has you covered.

  • Comprehensive coverage: Access current and historical full-text newspapers and news information.
  • Diverse formats: Explore online news, newswires, blogs, videos, audio recordings, broadcast transcripts, and more.
  • Flexible viewing options: Choose text-only articles or view the original layout with PDF image editions.
  • Australian focus: Includes community, regional, and rural titles alongside major national newspapers.
