Introducing Lexis+ Protege

The library is pleased to announce that Lexis+ Protégé is now available for Flinders staff and students.

Protégé is an AIpowered legal research tool designed to support natural language searching across LexisNexis sources and streamline key legal research tasks. Its introduction provides new opportunities for students and staff to engage more efficiently with legal information while developing skills aligned with contemporary legal practice.

The release follows close collaboration between the Library and Flinders Law to support its thoughtful integration into learning and teaching. This partnership ensures that students are guided on how to use the tool effectively and critically.

This marks an important milestone for the Library as the first AI tool acquired through a dedicated Library investment, reflecting our commitment to ensuring students have access to the emerging technologies shaping their future professions.

The legal research platform Lexis+ remains available, which allows for targeted searching of specific titles (e.g. Halsbury’s Laws of Australia) and tools (e.g. CaseBase).
