MPH Staff inspire students in Singapore

Dr. Anthony Venning and Fiona Glover recently embarked on their first teaching journey in Singapore, delivering an intensive three-day session for 32 enthusiastic students undertaking the Master of Counselling program (MHSC8018)

As representatives of Flinders University, Anthony and Fiona took pride in showcasing our institution’s values and expertise. The students reciprocated this enthusiasm, actively participating and demonstrating a high level of engagement throughout the course.

The students’ feedback spoke volumes about the success of the teaching sessions. An impressive 90% of participants rated the content as excellent or outstanding, highlighting its practicality and well-organized structure. The facilitators, too, received glowing reviews, with students commending their ability to explain complex concepts, captivating presentation style, and talent for fostering a keen interest in the subject matter. The overall quality of teaching was consistently praised.

The positive reception has paved the way for future visits to Singapore. Dr. Venning will return in just nine weeks to delve into a research topic, while Fiona and Paula Redpath will grace the Master of Counselling program again in 17 weeks, this time covering MHSC8018 and a supervision topic.
