Get to know your College: Laticia Bruce

 

What is your role and what does your work focus on? 

Senior Research Support Officer/Project Manager for the MRFF AutoMedic grant, a subsequest project of CareMappr. Collaborating with Niranjan Bidargaddi, I will be supporting the CareMappr team (0.2FTE) to enhance medicine reconciliation in hospital pharmacies using AI and algorithms.

Where did you work before joining CMPH? 

I currently work within the executive office at SA Health, Statewide Clinical Support Services, supporting business development and strategy. My primary focus is optimising the delivery of critical healthcare data to the right clinicians at the right point in time.

What journey brought you to this point in your career? 

I’m committed to improving patient care outcomes and look forward to continuing to make a meaningful impact in the healthcare sector, leveraging data-driven solutions to enhance our community’s well-being

What is something you love most about your work? 

What I find most fulfilling about my work is witnessing the transformative impact of technology in healthcare, particularly as it addresses the challenges posed by a shortage of healthcare workers. The ongoing advancements in AI and the exploration of the Metaverse are truly fascinating, and I am excited about contributing to and observing the evolution of projects like CareMappr in this innovative space. Additionally, I enjoy opportunities for personal development, particularly in the realms of business development and project management.

How do you like to relax or spend your spare time?    

Chocolate, wine, and a good movie! Otherwise, a long walk down the beach on a summer day with my partner.
