It is with much excitement that Flinders Nutrition and Dietetics welcomes Heidi Jak into the newly created position of Community Nutrition Engagement Officer!  This new role is a strategic appointment for Flinders Nutrition and Dietetics and will engage with community organisations to support the delivery of nutrition programs and projects which simultaneously provide authentic community nutrition placement opportunities for students as well as research collaborations with academic and research staff.

Heidi began her career as a Research Dietitian working on various projects with CSIRO, Adelaide University Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology and Flinders Human Behaviour and Health Research Unit. She then gained a position with Southern Adelaide Local Health Network where over the course of 6 years she held the position of Community Dietitian where she implemented a wide variety of community programs in the Southern Adelaide region. She held the position of Health Promotion Officer for Eat Well Be Active while there and most recently Heidi has been working at Jamie’s Ministry of Food in Noarlunga.
