The World Health Organisation Regional Office for the Western Pacific, recently invited Dr. Kaye Mehta to assist at a 3-day workshop on ‘regulating the marketing and sale of food and non-alcoholic beverages at schools’. The workshop was held in Manila Philippines and involved health and education delegates from countries as far afield as Mongolia, China, Korea, Japan, South East Asia and the Pacific Islands. Kaye was deeply honoured by the invitation and returned impressed by the commitment of our neighbouring countries   to find environmental solutions to the problems of unhealthy food marketing to children.
