Some exciting news with staff changes

Since our last e-newsletter we have sadly farewelled a number of staff and had a few changes in roles. We farewelled three members of our highly successful child and family nutrition research team – Dr Rebecca Perry, Chelsea Mauch and Jo Hartley. Each have taken up new roles in government and private enterprise and we wish them all the very best for the future. Our highly valued member of the administrative team, Emily Bogucki, has taken 12 months leave of absence and shall return to us in May 2017. With Michelle taking an opportunity to use her long service leave in May and recent approval of her sabbatical for July to November 2016, Dr Jacqui Miller confidently steps into the role as Acting Head of Discipline and Jolene Thomas picks up the role as Course Coordinator for the Masters Nutrition and Dietetics. Amanda Wray has taken up the role as Course Coordinator for the Bachelor of Nutrition and Dietetics as Dr Kaye Mehta takes on a 2 year position as Associate Dean Teaching and Learning for the School of Health Sciences. More changes are also not too far away with new staffing required to support the introduction of the Bachelor of Human Nutrition and combined Bachelor of Human Nutrition – Bachelor of Exercise Science, due to commence in 2017.
