New nutrition courses: video made in record time!

At the end of July, Nutrition and Dietetics staff, some of our stakeholders, students and graduates joined forces to feature in the promotional video for the new Bachelor of Human Nutrition course. The whole process from start to finish took nine days! Working with the Flinders Creations crew led by Dr Tom Young, a whole day was spent filming and gathering footage for the video which has been created to help promote the new course.

The day was jammed packed with eight different shooting locations across the University and throughout Adelaide. Some of the off-site scenes featured our stake holders who support students from Sprout Cooking School, Nazareth Community (Secondary School) and OPAL Charles Sturt Council (see Camilla Lever APD at an OPAL bike fixing station outside Adelaide’s Entertainment Centre). The aim of the video is to capture some of the potential career possibilities for graduates and to demonstrate student life at Flinders University.

There was a lot of hard work behind the scenes and special mention to Ann Bliss (Community Development Leader at Nazareth Catholic Community), Sally Jones (Marketing and Communications Manager at Flinders University), Flinders Creations, Camilla Leaver (OPAL Manager), and Themis Chryssidis (Sprout Director), for participating and the generous use of their sites and time. A big thank you to everyone that was involved and made it possible. To check out the video and see the ‘talent’, click here.
