On December 14th, Nutrition and Dietetics hosted a networking event for prospective students who have listed Flinders undergraduate nutrition programs amongst their SATAC preferences. The event was attended by more than 70 prospective students and family members who were treated to a healthy cooking showcase presented by our Community Nutrition Engagement Officer, Heidi Jak and new courses co-ordinator, Louisa Matwiejczyk and presentations from two inspiring new graduates Joyce Haddad (BND Honours graduate, APD) and Ben Tripodi (Health Sciences (Nutrition) graduate, Nutritionist & Entrepreneur) who provided insights into their journey in nutrition at Flinders and their current careers. The evening ended with a networking opportunity for prospective students to speak with academic staff and volunteer NUTD students about Flinders and the Nutrition programs. Amanda Wray (Course Coordinator BND) and Jolene Thomas (Course Coordinator MND) were on hand with other staff to answer queries. It was a great event and we look forward to welcoming some of the attendees into our programs in 2017.
