I had finally received my acceptance letter! It meant that I could finally stop running up to the postman everyday and get under way with my exchange preparation.
The day after I had received my enrolment pack from Chuo University, I ran off to Student Flights to organise my flights! However in true ‘Sam fashion’ I’d left it a bit close and the only flights I could seem to get would either send me the opposite direction from Japan or fly first class.
However after much searching…
Flights booked, check! Selfie with my enrolment pack, check! What next? Suppose that it would be a good idea if I had take (n) care of insurance, cancel all of my financial commitments here and most excitingly, I quit my jobs! So after a lot of running about, I am just about ready to set off! I even treated myself to a new suitcase to celebrate, a useful gift I thought.
The lead up to my departure has been both an exciting one and a stressful one with a number of sleepless nights, but I have no doubt it will be worth it! So until I finally leave in two weeks, it’s a matter of sitting tight and spending lots of time with my family and friends. There is no better excuse to go out for dinners almost every night of the week! Exciting times ahead!
