Semester exchange at Flinders: post 2

We’re already halfway through the semester! I can’t believe it! Mid semester break just ended so it’s time to get back to work. Having spent two weeks in India (!) it is a relief to be back in Australia. Taking a hot shower, drinking water from the tap, my own bed; you don’t know what you have until it’s gone. S

Same goes for the lovely weather I left behind two weeks ago. Where did it go? Autumn has officially taken over Australia so Adelaide is covered with a veil of grey clouds and tormented with occasional rain showers. To a European, that doesn’t even sound too bad although I’ll be missing running around in shorts and thongs ‘aka’ flip flops. Because of illness, that is what India does to you apparently, I missed one of the best area events so far: paint balling!! Really bumped but there’s still some time left to explore the area with fellow Flinders students.

There’s a lot of (national) parks around here that still need to be explored without smothering in the summer sun and since I still haven’t spot a koala on campus that is high on my priority list right now. Besides studying really hard of course 😉
