Accessible entryway to Social Sciences North
As part of a program of works to improve access around campus, construction will soon start on an accessible ramp at the entry to the Social Sciences North (SSN) building (located at the top of Humanities Road next to car park 5). This will start in May and is expected to continue until July.
There will be temporary access parks on the upper level of car park 5 to support people with access requirements to continue to access SSN and Humanities directly via the ramp on the upper level leading to the SSN courtyard. Please note that the ramp from the lower level of the car park to the courtyard won’t be available during the works.
A detour will be in place from the lower level of the car park via the Laneway for people with access requirements heading to the Library, Plaza, Hub and beyond.
For people with Australian National Disability parking permits or short-term support permits, please consider using access parks in nearby car parks 4 and 6 for the duration of the ramp construction to avoid disruption.
Lab upgrades in Flinders Medical Centre
Construction works will start this week on two PC1 laboratories in Flinders Medical Centre – 6E410 and 6E412. These works will be completed in the first week of May.
You may notice some debris, dust, noise and vibration during these works. Please take care if moving through this area and follow any directions or signage in place.
Tree pruning – Lake Road
On Saturday 30 April there will be tree pruning in and around the Lake Road area (see below map). The works will commence at 8am and we anticipate pruning works will be completed at approximately 4pm.
Please take care and follow any signage or directions in place if you are on campus at this time.
