Teaching with linguistic and cultural diversity in mind

“Designs for Teaching and Learning in culturally and linguistically diverse setting” is a seminar in which  participants will consider how they are to understand, and effectively manage, teaching and learning in classroom environments that include both international and domestic students of culturally and linguistically diverse backgrounds.

Keynote speaker and facilitator: Associate Professor Rosemary Clerehan, Monash University.

Associate Professor Clerehan is an Adjunct Associate Professor in the Faculty of Medicine, Nursing and Health Sciences at Monash University, and formerly Director of Graduate Research Communication and of International Postgraduate Academic Support in the Faculty.  An educational linguist, she was Head of Monash University Language and Learning from 1987 to 2005.  Her current part-time teaching role involves academic support for the Nursing students at Berwick campus.  She is an internationally known writing specialist and healthcare communication researcher, and led staff teams to create the original LLOnline site for students.
