MArch-ing to success!

Master of Archaeology students from Flinders are celebrating a clean sweep of the student presentation awards at the recent Australian Archaeological Association Conference in Terrigal.

The winning students were Joanne Threadgold for her paper “Stone Artefacts and Earth Oven Mounds at Calperum Station, the Riverland South Australia”, in the Social Archaeology/Cultural Heritage Management category; and Anthea Vella for her paper “Digital Geoarchaeological Investigations at the Soyo Archaeological Site, Northern Mongolia” in the Archaeological Science category.

Their achievements are particularly impressive as this is the largest archaeological conference in Australia and their competition was mainly PhD students from other institutions.

Ms Threadgold is supervised by Dr Amy Roberts, Dr Alice Gorman and Mick Morrison. Ms Vella is supervised by Dr Ian Moffat.
