As part of the Darlington Upgrade Project, local roads in Bedford Park North will be temporarily closed as required over the coming 18 months whilst service relocations, earthworks and roadworks are undertaken.

From 6.30am on Monday 6 February 2017, Maidstone Road will be closed at the junction with Main South Road for approximately four weeks.

Following this, closures of Lincoln Road and Sutton Road at the junctions with Main South Road will be implemented as required, along with further closures of Maidstone Road.
Works will be staged to ensure that only one local road is temporarily closed at a time. For example, whilst Maidstone Road is closed, Lincoln Road and Sutton Road will remain open.

Traffic Management

• Local access for properties on Lincoln Road, Maidstone Road and Sutton Road will be maintained at all times, via Burbank Avenue.
• Pedestrian access will be maintained along Main South Road during the works.
• Signage will alert motorists to the changed traffic conditions.

Temporary traffic management measures will be in place to alert motorists and road users are asked to use extra caution when workers are on site. Traffic and speed restrictions will apply in the vicinity of the works.
