Getting to the heart of health and wellbeing

In support of the Heart Foundation’s Heart Week 2017, from 30 April to 6 May, Flinders will spend the month of May promoting the importance of having a healthy heart.

The initiative is part of Flinders University’s health and wellbeing program, and will include a range of activities to help you improve how you look after your heart.

Rachel McKay, Director of Health from the Heart Foundation, will be at Bedford Park on 10 May to speak on the topic of ‘Move more, Sit Less’.

To support the focus of the Healthy Hearts in May campaign, Flinders OneFitness will:

  • Be running weekly small physical activity sessions every Monday afternoon in the Hub and Plaza
  • Provide dietitian led information sessions on nutrition throughout May 3, 17 and 31.

For more information please visit http://www.onesportandfitness.com.au/ and found out how you can participate.

Remember ‘Regular, moderate physical activity is great for your heart, and it’s never too late to start and get the benefits’.
